Core Beliefs
1. There is one living and true God who is
present in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is
eternal and everlasting. God is omniscient, omnipresent,
omnipotent, and never-changing.
2. The Bible both Old and New Testament is
inspired by God.
3. God created the world out of nothing and
through God everything was created. His creation is wholly
dependent upon God.
4. God created man in His own image, in a state
of original righteousness, from which he subsequently fell by
voluntary revolt.
5. Jesus Christ, the eternal Son, exists with
the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was conceived by the Holy
Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life completely
as God and man, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified on
the cross, took on the curse for us and became separate from the
Father to become a atonement for sin, and on the third day, was
raised from the dead in the same body, now glorified. He
ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of the
Father interceding for the redeemed.
6. The Holy Spirit exists with the Father and
Son, convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He
also empowers and directs the church in fulfillment of the Great
Commission. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is offered to every
Christian, and it comes with spiritual gifts such as speaking in
tongues and prophecy.
7. The only way to gain salvation is to believe
in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name or way by
which you can be saved. It is a free gift received by faith
alone. Salvation consists of the remission of sins, impartation
of the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and the gift of eternal
life.
8. All spiritual gifts listed in the Bible
continue to be expressed in the church today and are subject to
the order prescribed by scripture. Also the Five-fold ministry
listed in Eph 4:11 is still active and valid offices held in the
church.
9. Communion is to be taken frequently and is
offered to all believers except those who are living in
unrepentant rebellion or morality. The communion elements are
symbols of Christ's body and blood and are useful to the
exercise of faith in the person and testimony of Jesus Christ.
10. The Kingdom of God is a present reality and
a future hope, forcibly advancing through the agency of the
church.
11. At death, the souls of the redeemed are made perfect in
holiness and immediately enter into the presence of Christ,
enjoying conscious fellowship with Him.
12. The Lord Jesus Christ will return bodily, visibly, and
personally. He will judge the quick and the dead and will effect
a final separation of the redeemed and the lost, assigning
unbelievers to eternal punishment and believers to eternal
glory.
