The Pit

As the dust settles, I see myself so far down. The walls are so straight and tall and powerful. I yell so loud but yet no one hears. I’m lost and confused, where did I go wrong? I remember the beginning. So easy to go straight and smooth. Then it must have gotten a little rougher. I lost my step here, tripped over there. My feet got so tired, my legs so weak. Then this. I can’t climb out. There isn’t any signs that just say this way out or follow this. Why did I slip? I didn’t really mean to end up here. I am lost and afraid. My family and friends are gone and I am alone. I need help out but there is no one. My heart aches and my head hurts. I too have abused the Love. How can I get back?
